The Humane Society of St. Joseph provides free information to educate
the community regarding the humane treatment of animals. Flyers, which
cover a multitude of subjects, are available by request.
The Humane Society believes that a child who learns to interact humanely with domestic animals and wildlife, learns to interact humanely with others who enter their lives. An educational program geared to kindergarten through fifth grade has been developed to teach children about the care and responsibility of companion animals. This program can be presented either in a classroom or to small groups. The Humane Education Committee is in the process of developing several programs on humane issues that can be presented to classrooms or civic groups. Summer Safety Tips
